I believe that awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion are the cornerstones of a balanced life; helping us to see our life from a new perspective, allowing space for change to occur. To change we must identify and replace old patterns that keep us feeling “stuck.” Supporting clients throughout the process, my presence has been described as relatable, funny, flexible, direct, and insightful. Therapy is filled with the potential for growth. I am excited to work with clients who are open to change and ready to challenge themselves to reach their personal growth as the process unfolds.

They say “there is no I in team”, well, the same applies for therapy. There is no I in therapy. This means that we, together, will make therapy work for you.  Only as a team will we help you overcome the challenges being thrown your way. You may feel like you are alone, but I am here for you. You are the expert of your own experiences; with that I will meet you where you are in your journey through change. I will be with you through the fun, frightening, and exciting changes you will make to your life. For my part, I am easy-going, calm, empathetic, and direct. I provide conversation that is safe, comforting, free of judgements, and ensures you feel you are being heard, instead of ignored. I will be your cheerleader, and your accountability buddy as we build an even better you.

I help people develop flexible, resilient, and kind minds. I bring a sense of direct, lighthearted collaboration to therapy. Open, thoughtful dialogue, in tune with the needs of my clients, is central to my practice. I regard my practice as explicitly anti-racist and LGBTQ+ affirming which is a reflection of my values in and out of the office. A world in which there is a shared acceptance of our variation as strength, acting in solidarity with one another as we strive to reach both our personal/collective potential.

Uplift Virtual Assistants

Client Care Coordinator

To Bright Light Counseling Center I bring 10+ years of office administration. I developed my passion for staff development, employee engagement, and office administration at an Illinois non-profit agency serving adults and children with mental illness and developmental disabilities. I am transplant to Savannah by way of Chicago. Although I miss the city, my family, and friends, I am embracing the change in weather and leaving behind the cold and the snow. I deeply believe in appreciation and recognition. Kindness should be seen not only in professional lives but personal lives. I constantly try to show gratitude to others and be an inspiration for others to do the same. From my own experience, I know that feeling appreciated and recognized at work is a reason to stay and not having this can be a reason to leave. When not at work, I am an avid reader; enjoying mainly fiction and autobiographies. I am also learning to crochet and enjoy crafting gifts for family and friends.

Let's rediscover your Bright Light.

Business Meeting

"In my early professional years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person?  Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?"
